It appears that reality TV continues to be a self generating industry.
Will it every die? Will we ever tire of public ritual humiliation?
Or is it a fleeting moment in the history of human evolution? The modern day evocation of the Roman gladiators?
I agree I think reality tv is here to say, it will be interesting to see what other shows people will think of.
We have always had reality tv but the term was not coined until the Big Brother phenomenon started. Think Its a Knockout, Gladiators, and New Faces...
Simon Fuller is one of the gurus in this area, and I am sure he will have more rabbits to pull out of his hat.
Speaking of Life in Roman Times, it appears Australia's illustrious leader John Howard has decided the Government should fund a christmas parade like the Macy's one in New York. Reeks of desperation of wanting to keep the masses entertained ala Cesar style. Soon I suspect he will propose suburban orgies, and wild feasts (to hell with Aust obesity crisis). When will Howard to the honourable thing and fall on his sword.
