Guy Sebastian Has Announced Concerts For 2009.
To think 2008 is nearing its end, but Guy Sebastian fans will be able to see him play live in March next year. Full details here..
Guy sings at Levi Kareama's funeral.
Hundreds of people turned up today at former Australian Idol singer Levi Kareama's funeral. Levi earlier this week fell from a hotel balcony. His family insist the incident accidentally fell and did not suicide - something we will probably never know.

Behind The Scenes On Survivor What Really Happens.
Australian's are currently watching Survivor Fans V Favourites, whilst in the US Survivor Gabon is screening. Here on msnbc is a really interesting article on behind the scenes on Survivor - there are no spoilers. What is interesting is they say they have a hard time finding quality contestants and they need to recruit people.
On other survivor news - Survivor China contestants, Jaime Dugan, the girl that fell for the fake immunity idol, and Erik Huffman are getting married. The second couple to do so after Amber and Rob.
There may be a third couple shortly if the snogging we saw between Amanda and Ozzi continues.

Has Survivor Stopped Pixelating Contestants Naughty Bits?
Are Survivor producers trying to garner ratings by not pixelating the naughty bits? Normally in episodes boobs, crotch and even bum cracks are pixelated. But somehow in the first episode of Survivor Gabon, which is currently screening in the US somehow a bit of male genitals got through the censors.

Channel 9 Buries Survivor Fans V Favourites Like A Hidden Immunity Idol
Channel 9 must be determined to kill off the Survivor franchise in Australia as they have now decided to place it on a Tuesday night at 10.30pm.
So the most tedious show on TV 20 to 1 will lead it in. 20 to 1 is basically a 1 hour program which promotes Channel 9 personalities with bits of video footage in between. They must think this show will rate higher than Survivor.
This Survivor series brings back 10 favourites from previous series which will include Jonny Fairplay, James from China, and Ozzie.
TV Week has an interview with recent Emmy winner and the George Clooney of reality TV Jeff Probst here where he discusses the new series.
It should be noted this series has now finished in the US.

The Amazing Race won Best Reality TV Show At The Emmy's
The Amazing Race won the best reality TV show last night at the Emmy's ahead of the mega popular American Idol.
I think they have won this category five or six years in a row confirming that it is a quality reality tv show.
I am a huge fan and if pisses me off that Channel 7, who have the rights to it, cannot screen it, and when they do they bury it in the 9.30pm time slot. We are at least two seasons behind.
If they are not going to screen at least let pay TV screen them, as they only get the reruns.
This is one reality TV I covet to go on. I know if I went on it with my preferred partner, a friend, it would not be pretty, we would make Johnathan and Victoria look like Mother Teresa!

Reality Tidbits
Project Runway Host Kristy Hinzes Won't Be Taking Her Boyfriend To The Seniors Week Concert.
Kristy Hinzes billionaire boyfriend Jim Clarke has come out to Australia for a visit while she is fulfilling her Project Runway duties.
Kristy is 27 years old and Jim is 63. Now Kristy states that it is not his bank account that she finds attractive.
"He is charismatic, handsome, funny and down-to-earth," Hinze said recently of her 63-year-old beau.
"What more could anyone want in a partner?"
Somehow I think that if she had a met a teacher with those same characteristics she would not be dating him. But then again if Kristy did not have gorgeous long legs and a beautiful face, he would not be dating her.
Survivor Gabon is having Production Difficulties.
The next season of Survivor is already in production, even though Australian viewer are yet to see the Survivor Fan's V Favourites series. David Gyngell if you are reading this put it on instead of those hideous Bert Newton 20 to 1 shows.
Anyway Jeff Probst is now in Gabon, Africa and there have been problems from encroaching animals and late shipments. Full article on the logistical issues here.

Reality Tidbits
Hopefully Charlotte Dawson Is Not Mentoring Those Innocent Australia's Next Top Model Girls, as Ex Hubby is in deep s**t.
Charlotte Dawson who is a judge on Australia's Next Top Model, ex husband Scott Miller has been arrested as part of a production of an illegal drugs syndicate.
Charlotte who had an acrimonious divorce from him, including suing Woman's Day successfully fled to New Zealand for a number of years after the split.
She won't be happy about being tarnished by him again especially as she has successfully reestablished her career and social life in Sydney.

Tarasai Vushe Australian Idol Contestant from last year claims she was kidnapped and held by ex-boyfriend for 8 hours.
Gosh I feel I like I am writing a crime blog today. Tarasai has claimed she was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend and held for 8 hours before she was released. However she is refusing to go to the Police, but willing to talk about her ordeal with the media. Does this mean the media is more powerful then the police in NSW??
Seriously if she was a victim of domestic violence she should go the police and be a role model for other women in these situations.
Tarasai who went out of Idol in a blazing tantrum, refusal to go the Police will only result in further criticism from the viewing public.

Kristy Lee Cook and Nigel Lythgoe Spotted Flirted At American Idol Taping.
Ok maybe I am reading more into this then I should but a very interesting article on the taping of the Mariah Carey elimination show on EW here reveals that there was quite a bit of giggling and chat between Idol producer and SYTYCD judge Nigel Lythgoe and Kristy Lee in the breaks.
Well weirder things have happened, look at Russian President Putin who is allegedly about to marry a 24 year old ex-gymnast. I blame French Prime Minister Sarkovsky for starting the trend when he married the ex super model Carla Bruni. What next Kevin Rudd with Jennifer Hawkins. Yuck.

Natalie Bassingthwaite the girl everywhere at the moment has now been signed for 12 months as the face of Garnier Nutrisse, they will include colouring and cutting her hair. So we can judge the products on Sunday's show some of her do's on the show have been tres ordinary.

Australia's Next Top Model's in New York
In America's Next Top Model the final six models get to go overseas. In Australia's version the top three get to go overseas - but Tyra's show probably has a huge budget.
Jodhi Meares the host of Australia's Next Top Model has flown out with the final three for a modelling shoot in New York. They will also catch up with last years winner Alice Burdeau who is apparently getting heaps of work.
The show will have completed filming by the time in commences on 22 April on Fox 8.
Survivor - Interview With Jeff Probst - some contestant once smuggled in matches up his butt!
This now results in every contestant now being stripped searched prior to the show. Nice one Richard Hatch.
In the interview Jeff Probst reveals how the contestants are picked, and also he reveals he is no longer seeing his survivor girlfriend Julie Berry.

Apparently Ryan Seacrest revealed it on his radio show that there is a double elimination this week. Is this a first? This may back up the rumour that there will be a wildcard entry back into the show for a previous contestant.
I have to confess I am quite looking forward to the Dolly Parton mentoring show.
