To think 2008 is nearing its end, but Guy Sebastian fans will be able to see him play live in March next year. Full details here..

Guy sings at Levi Kareama's funeral.
Hundreds of people turned up today at former Australian Idol singer Levi Kareama's funeral. Levi earlier this week fell from a hotel balcony. His family insist the incident accidentally fell and did not suicide - something we will probably never know.

Behind The Scenes On Survivor What Really Happens.
Australian's are currently watching Survivor Fans V Favourites, whilst in the US Survivor Gabon is screening. Here on msnbc is a really interesting article on behind the scenes on Survivor - there are no spoilers. What is interesting is they say they have a hard time finding quality contestants and they need to recruit people.

On other survivor news - Survivor China contestants, Jaime Dugan, the girl that fell for the fake immunity idol, and Erik Huffman are getting married. The second couple to do so after Amber and Rob.

There may be a third couple shortly if the snogging we saw between Amanda and Ozzi continues.

Model Agent Criticises Australia's Next Top Model To Promote Own Model Search.
In the SMH today Chic Management's Kathy Ward criticised the very popular Australia's Next Top Model.

She said that while the reality TV show might occasionally uncover some talent, the format was a far from ideal environment for young women aspiring to a career on the catwalk."It takes them away from their families and exposes them to controversy," she said. "I think that with young girls who really want to get into modelling, their families will protect them and not let them go into a house and expose them to other girls like that. Obviously [they have some protection] but I just don't think it's a particularly good environment for young girls to start in."

However it was revealed her agency was involved in the show for the first two season, before Priscilla's Management took over. Clearly Kathy had no qualms about the show then.

Nor of criticising the show to promote the new modelling competition they are involved in.

Guy Sebastian and wife Jules Home from Honeymoon after Shock Death In the Family.
Season 1 winner of Australian Idol Guy Sebastian and his new wife Jules have flown home from their honeymoon in Paris after the shock death of Jules older brother Andrew.

Andrew who was at their wedding a few weeks ago is suspected to have taken his own life. He leaves behind a wife and young child. A very distressing situation for all their family.

Big Brother Continuing to Decline - Gretel Must Be Watching With Amusement.
Big Brother lost me weeks ago with all the twist and turns, and over manipulations. And they continue to try and revive it by adding more intruders to the house. Just leave it be and let the personalities evolve by themselves. Remember the first three seasons???

Anyway the new hosts continue to come in for criticisms. Today Jackie who is suppose to play good cop is now heard to be cold towards the housemates.

So You Think You Can Dance Gossip and this is getting into the banal - Jack nearly arrested in New York.
In TV Week Jack reveals he was busting to go to the toilet when he was on the Subway.

"I got off at the next stop to find a bathroom, and after I found one, I started walking around, not really knowing where I was.

"Suddenly, this van drove up on the footpath and almost hit me! These cops jumped out and arrested two guys, who were standing next to me, for dealing drugs. They asked me, if I was part of it and I said no and took off!"

The other riveting piece of information in TV Week was that Henry used to be teased when he was young for dancing.

Todd McKenny a judge on Dancing with the Stars was found guilty for drink driving and was banned from driving until July. The full details are here. What I found interesting that he only copped such a small penalty when he was already on a good behaviour licence. Methinks if he wasn't a celeb a much harsher penalty would have been given out.

Guy Sebastian reveals Matt Corby to be his Wedding Singer.
Those who pray together, sing together. Guy Sebastian has revealed Matt Corby will be his wedding singer at his May wedding. They apparently met last year and became friends when Matt was in Australian Idol. Full story here.

Australia's Next Top Model winner Alice Burdeau shows there is careers after reality tv.
Today it was revealed she will be heading to London to shoot an ad campaign for Dolce and Gabbana. This campaign will be shot by uber famous photographer Mario Testino. This is on top of modelling for New York fashion week. I don't think we will be seeing her home anytime soon.

Reggie from Big Brother's Pregnancy Scare.
I don't usually trade in Big Brother banter, however it is Reggie...

In this weeks Woman Day there is an article about her near death pregnancy. She had an ectopic pregnancy and was in severe pain and bleeding. She seemed to have to see a lot of Doctor's before someone actually gave her a definitive diagnosis, clearly the Queensland Health system still has some issues after Dr Patel!

Guy Sebastian Concert Review

Rodney Olsen's Blog has a very positive review of the Guy Sebastian gig in Perth. The backing band are apparently sensational. To think I refused free tickets to a show in Sydney. I was feeling particularly lethargic at the time.

Paula Abdul Could Not Speak For Two Years.

Now some people might think that is a good thing, however she was in an emergency plane landing and did severe spinal damage and one of the operations severed her vocal chords. Therefore could not speak for two years, and was out of the limelight for six years.

Paula fans probably already know all this and I had just thought it was a career slump.

Now Magazine has all the details. The other thing I did not know about Paula was she wrote Kylie Minogues come back song "Spinning Around".

I have to confess I have new found respect for her. Also is this why she is so loopy, the pain killers she might still be on?

In today's music section of the Sunday Telegraph it says that Guy Sebastian, the first Australian Idol winner, has set his sights on Europe.

Despite a lot of success here, he has never tried to crack the overseas market other then Malaysia, where he was born.

"I've always dreamed of having my music played in the UK and throughout Europe, so we'll see how we go."

Maybe he has been inspired by another Australian Idol alumni Ricki-Lee Coulter who has had one of her singles taken up by the well known Ministry for Sound.

It will be a busy year for Guy as he is writing songs for his next project which he hopes to have out by the end of this year, as well as starting a national tour to support the release of The Memphis Album.

Anybody who thinks they are too cool, or to good a musician to audition for Australian Idol should look at what Guy Sebastian is worth since he won the first season of Australian Idol.

When he proposed to his new fiancee Jules he gave her a beautiful diamond ring, a new 4WD car, and a new Louis Vuitton bag to replace the one that had previously been stolen.

Then he showed her their new beach house which was right on some beach in Queensland. To top it all off he had flown in their family to celebrate their engagement.

Maybe it is better not to put out before marriage.....
